I am pleased to announce that it is once again September and Crash and I are going to be hitting not only the air waves but the internet waves to make your ears bleed!
We are not on the air as of yet, but it is soon, very, very soon.

I am also pleased to gloat that I have in my hands, and advanced copy of Evergrey's new album "Torn" I am giddy as a little school girl with this album. It is their seventh studio release, and they are now signed to Steamhammer, with a new bassist, Jari Kainulainen, (formerly of Stratovarious)

In this album, Evergrey, gets back to their roots by self producing the album, and I can honestly say this is the best that I have heard out of them yet. New album means new tour!!! I saw them years ago with a buddy of mine at the Palladium and they blew me away. I will keep you all aprised about tour dates and the like.

Listen for Evergrey when Crash and I get on the airwaves, you will be hearing a lot from this band via U.K.E.

Another band worthy of note, is Burst with their new album Lazarus Bird. It is their 5th studio album, but the first I have ever heard of them. Upon listening to the first track this band seemed very, very confused. It felt to me the band was having an identity crisis…until I realized that the album was primarily conceived in Gothenburg, Sweden. All things made complete sense. The music snapped into a beautiful streamline complexity, that only the Gothenburg sound can give to a metal band. This album is most definitely worth a listen with their intricate keyboard work to the varying vocals. As typical of the Gothenburg sound, this album is not very heavy, but it pulses when it needs to. I dare not say that this band sounds like In Flames (since they revolutionized the sound) but if you are unfamiliar with the sound, they would be the most popular representation.

Metal Fest Day 1

So Crash, Gunner (Gimpy), and I ventured deep into the centrals of Massachusetts to a tiny little hole in the wall theater you may have heard of, the Worcester Palladium (only the best place to check out a metal show...period), for a teeny, tinsy, little festival called the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival (who am I kidding, it's the largest in the country!) We were privileged enough to go on The Syndicate's and Roadrunner Records' tabs, so we must extend a HUGE THANK YOU TO THEM!

Cash and I took over 700 pictures, we are currently working on a photo gallery where you can see all of our photos from all concerts. Please bear with us while we are under construction! thanks!

Day 1 hosted a battery of bands, along the likes of Job for a Cowboy, Children of Bodom, In Flames and Megadeth, (also known as the Gigantour!)

Unfortunately, I cannot comment on Job for a Cowboy's performance, since I decided food was pertinent, and so was a Spinefarm Record Label party with Children of Bodom themselves.

As a long time fan of Children of Bodom and In Flames, I was excited as a little metal kid in a little metal candy store for this performance. I have never had the opportunity to see Children of Bodom live, so you can imagine my excitement as they destroyed my eardrums with their grueling guitars and frantically moving tones spewing forth from the keyboard. Children of Bodom owned the Palladium for the night! They most definitely have secured a fan from the sheer energy of their performance. The closed with their signature "Downfall" (which just happens to be this girl's favorite song by them) If you ever, ever have an opportunity to see this band, I'm serious here, DO NOT PASS IT UP!

In Flames followed Children of Bodom with a more subdued performance. Playing songs primarily off of Come Clarity and A Sense of Purpose (their new album, release April 1) They tore the stage up with "Take this Life" I swear everyone in the Palladium was singing along. The energy was addicting. In Flames delivered a flawless performance. I was very happy to have the opportunity to see these guys perform for a second time. I heard a fan say they were disappointed they didn't hear any older music, but I don't agree with this random guy, because their performance was fantastic. The could have played "Mary had a Little Lamb" and my panties would have been thrown at the stage. Sorry for the scaring mental image. Back to the metal shall we? \m/

The night belonged to Megadeth, being the most seasoned. The commanded the attention of every person in that theater. I saw Megadeth my senior year in highschool, now I know I am dating myself, but oh well. I was 17. Staind and Sevendust opened for them. The stage set has changed, maybe the set list, but Megadeth delivered a performance just as solid and just as flawless and full of life as they did 8 some odd years ago. They may have been the most seasoned on this bill, but they never lost a beat. Their set list included songs as A Tout le Monde (which gave Crash chills), Tornado of Souls, Symphony of Destruction and many others that spanned their two decade career.

Day 1 was only the beginning of the ear bleeding fun. Day 2 and 3 are forthcoming

Welcome to Und Keine Eier's Space on the Net

Und Keine Eier is now online. This is our little space on the web. If you are here, you probably know what we are about. We are a radio show that plays on a small college radio station in Westfield, MA. We broadcast on Westfield State College's airwaves on WSKB 89.5 FM. We can be heard throughout Western Massachusetts every week on Fridays from 6 to 8PM. We play all sorts of Metal. We try and really play the wierd, hard to find stuff. Some of our favorites are bands such as Demericous, Turisas, Tyr, Eluviete, Fueled By Fire, Satyricon, Divine Heresy, Heaven Shall Burn, Fintroll, and many, many other forms of brutality. Your hosts for this ear bleeding fun are myself, Fade and my radio partner Crash. We have years of college and professional radio experience under our belts, and this is just a general good metal time.

We hope to be streaming by the end of the semester. So please, keep checking for updates.

We hope to update this with our play lists every week. Reviews of the newest albums, concerts, and anything else amazingly metal.

Recently Crash and I ventured to the endurance test that is the New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. We will be posting updates soon. A review of the concert, pictures, and some bands worthy of your ears.
